Does anyone use a Garmin eTrex Touch 25? I am thinking of getting one (my first GPS)

I should appreciate constructive comments for and against?

Many thanks in advance

better to post what you want your gps to do for you and get recommendations based on that.

Long battery life
Show my location
Show distance covered
Show time taken
Record walk routes for future use (not essential but useful)

If it's a touch screen avoid it.
I use a Garmin etrex 20, it will cover your requirements.

I have an etrex 30, I use it mainly for road cycling.

The 20 is the same minus the ANT+ ability (heart rate strap, temp sensor, and cadence) and barometric altimeter. Oh and it's a garish orange.

Free maps easy to download and install, takes AA batteries 24 hours battery life with rechargeables, robust and Waterproof (well tested by me - have ridden 27hrs in non-stop rain with no problems)

Etrex 10 will meet your requirements and it's cheaper.

Every time the screen gets knocked it marks a way point not necessarily on your route, I found it an annoying faff.
