Anybody been in the area of late? Did any snow survive through the winter this year? Around Great Slab I mean, I am aware of the Angel Peak eternal's. Must be getting night frosts up there now.

Pretty sure no snow survived, snowed up there overnight though....

The great slab area doesn't really hold the snow that well. A small patch survived for a while up and right (facing the crags) of the great slab but it too disappeared a while back.

Until July there were small patches in the gullies between No.1/No.2 and No.2/No.3 and then a larger patch on the west side further round from the actual faces but it was gone by the start of September when I was last up there.

I was in the Cairngorms in mid September and passed the end of the coire on the descent from Ben Macdui to Coire Cas. There was no surviving snow then.
