Anybody been in the area of late? Did any snow survive through the winter this year? Around Great Slab I mean, I am aware of the Angel Peak eternal's. Must be getting night frosts up there now.
In reply to glaramara: The great slab area doesn't really hold the snow that well. A small patch survived for a while up and right (facing the crags) of the great slab but it too disappeared a while back.
Until July there were small patches in the gullies between No.1/No.2 and No.2/No.3 and then a larger patch on the west side further round from the actual faces but it was gone by the start of September when I was last up there.
I was in the Cairngorms in mid September and passed the end of the coire on the descent from Ben Macdui to Coire Cas. There was no surviving snow then.
