Brutal!
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

Flat, fast and hot... not with fast enough wifi to stream...

How is it looking. Is cav still in contention? What time roughly should they be fonishing?

In reply to Yanis Nayu:

Is it on TV?
In reply to balmybaldwin:

BBC has a live feed online....
 balmybaldwin 16 Oct 2016
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

So it seems it's on BBC red button. Apparently homes under the hammer and great British menu reruns are more important for bbc1&2 than showing a major sporting event that presumably they've paid to cover
In reply to balmybaldwin:

So how is it panning out.... too hot for the limey brits?

In reply to Yanis Nayu:

Cav and Adam Blythe in the front group, which is being driven by the Belgians. 1:49 over the following group which isn't working well. Peloton got ripped apart by the crosswinds, with most the Brits missing the selection. Some horrible crashes out in the desert.

In reply to idiotproof (Buxton MC):

Seems I missed the key move in crosswinds 184k out 54k to go one lead group of about 20-25. Cab is in there but only one team mate, Sagan and a few other names are in the group too. Kittel dumoulin and a few others are in a group 2mins back that has been chasing all day
OP Yanis Nayu 16 Oct 2016
In reply to balmybaldwin:

I thought Dumoulin had bailed. Kittel's f*cked.

In reply to Yanis Nayu:
Sorry degenkob (sp?) Is who I meant

Edit kittel is out and looking terrible

In reply to balmybaldwin:

If this lead group stays together Cav's in with a great chance.
 balmybaldwin 16 Oct 2016
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

he can certainly do it but the Belgians and Italians have 4 riders each it won't be easy

Really annoyed I missed the fun in the dessert
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

It's great that it's being held in Qatar; you can see how much popular support there is for cycling there, with the route packed with spectators and supporters all the way along. It's a good job they've got all thse barriers to hold them all back...

In reply to captain paranoia:
Are you suggesting taking the sport to the people?

To be fair there are a few people out watching and it's f'n hot to be standing around outside. It's not Yorkshire tho

Found a TV now so watching it.

2.5km to go... Sagan, Cav there but still group of 16ish.

In reply to Yanis Nayu:

Got to say how good David Millar is on the commentary team
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

A dutch guy just gone off the front with 2km to go.... lead group not chasing yet
In reply to Yanis Nayu:

Sagan 1st, cav 2nd by looks
In reply to Yanis Nayu:
My view would be bad positioning by Cav... but easy to say from the sofa
