Rock Over Climbing is looking for motivated, enthusiastic and flexible people to join our Team!
Rock Over Climbing is one of the fastest growing bouldering, climbing and activity centre in the North West of England. As well as being one of the premier UK bouldering centres, we host one of the largest climbing events in the UK - the ROCfest, with the ROCfest16 promising to be no exception. We are also expanding our facilities and will be opening a roped climbing part to our centre this Autumn. This will combine lead walls, top roping and auto belays.
We’re looking for casual and freelance instructional staff to add to our team. Work will initially be centred around weekends, group sessions, school holidays and events.
Casual/Freelance Instructors
As an instructor you will work as part of a vibrant and professional team delivery sessions to a wide range of customers. You will also be asked to undertake some reception duties.
Essential experience and knowledge:
• Experience of instructing both roped climbing and bouldering(SPA or CWA desirable)
• Experience of working with children and adults of all ages
• IT literate
• Ability to run fun, inspirational and educational sessions that make people want to come back
• Outgoing and vibrant personality, combined with good communication skills
• Passion for climbing and bouldering
Desirable experience and knowledge
• Experience of coaching
• Experience of running birthday parties
• Knowledge and experience of sales and using an EPOS system
• Valid first aid certificate
• Experience of delivering NIBAS and NICAS schemes
