Hi folks - I've a couple of races coming up later in the summer and autumn (one being Glencoe marathon)

Heading out this Sunday, probably into the Cairngorms and looking to get some distance and ascent under my feet.

I've done all the Munros in that area so not bothered about ticking particular hills, but can anyone recommend some good routes around the cairngorms (From the Aviemore side) - looking for something in the range of 30-40km, but open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Fiacaill Ridge-Macdui-Mheadoin-The Saddle-Cairngorm is a good wee jaunt.

Thanks Dave

Up Gleann Eanaich to Loch Eanaich, traverse up Coire Dhondail, up and across to Carn na Criche and Braeriach, down into the Lairig Ghru and back through Rothiemurcus to Coylumbridge.

I've never done it, apart from the Lairig Ghru bit, but on the map it's always seemed to me to be a satisfying loop.

Round of Glen Eanaich: Creag Dhubh, Sgor Gaoith, Cairn Toul, Braeriach.
Or Braeriach, Cairn Toul, Devil's Point, down to Lairig Ghru, up to Ben Macdui, back via whichever of the Northern Corries summits you've got energy left for.
Or for a shorter day: Bynack Mor, Beinn Meadhoinn, Ben Macdui, Cairngorm

In reply to Simon Caldwell:

Thanks everyone. Appreciated
