Here's the proposal - you post a photo from somebody else (Flickr, UKC image, portfolio etc etc) that you think is worth sharing. It doesn't have to be a climbing/mountain shot, but something work-safe and creatively legitimate.

As well as the link to the other image, you post a link to your own Flickr/portfolio/website for others to have a gander at.

How does that sound? Who wants to go first?

It is a mountain... it is creatively legitimate (in my book)... it reminds me of my childhood... it reminds me of a great book, a great author and its by a great graphic artist:

And here's my flickr photostream (mostly hillwalking in UK and Switzerland but also some climbing):

Yeah, that makes me slightly annoyed that I didn't go climbing this evening

You have some rather good images in there - I particularly like this one:

Wow. Dartmoor does 'haunting' quite well at the best of times, but his stuff is powerful. I quite like this one:

I'm a sucker for waves crashing over lighthouses - I know it's a cliche but I don't think I could get bored of them:

I forgot about Wikipedia etc. That led me down a route of related articles looking for a Chernobyl image from inside the reactor that I saw a while back... If I find it I'll post it.

Whilst in a similar vein, one of the last photos taken by Robert Landsburg of the eruption of Mount St Helens - shortly before said eruption killed him:

Not photos, but I also really like this guy's watercolours. Last year, I bought a few of his calendars (via Etsy) which showed facades of assorted coffee shops in Edinburgh & Glasgow.

And for good old climbing shots, I rate this guy's gallery and have just started following him:
