I'm currently looking at planning a summer trip to the Alps next year. I've read quite a bit of stuff on here and elsewhere and I think Arolla looks like a good bet. -This will be our first trip to the Alps and we've found routes graded F and PD that sound OK.

Previously I've visited the Picos de Europa (explored all over the range) and the Pyrenees (spent 2.5 weeks on HRP, GR10 and GR11).

I'm beginning to feel more confident about Alpine terrain and other than more altitude (got to 3000m in pyrenees) and glaciers with crevasses (crossed a few in HRP terrain -but no crevasses).

Am I over simplifying this whole thing?
