Was there a lot of snow in Swiss Alps this spring?

We're thinking of climbing rock mountain routes in central Switzerland (Salbitschijen, and other mountains in the area) in early July, the altitudes will be up to ~3200m, just wondering if there's any risk of snow still lying around?

In reply to alps_p:

Depends on aspect. We did not have a huge dump of snow this Spring, but I know for sure that north facing aspects will hold snow even at 2500m into June. I hiked up to this altitude on a north facing trail just 10 days ago and the snow was pretty deep. If you are considering northern aspects, probably best to get some info from local hut guardians in the area closer to the time.

Enjoy

There's lots of extra snow at high altitudes in the northern French Alps right now (with another storm arriving tonight?), so wouldn't surprise me if there's also above-average snow-depth in southwest Switzerland.

Seems like springtime has been cooler than expected this year, perhaps also moister.
