The Big Climb is a fun and inclusive climbing challenge event based in the classic trad climbing destination of North Wales. It is aimed at experienced climbers who want an exciting personal climbing challenge whilst helping raise money for cancer research. The inaugural event is based on an enchainment challenge in North Wales (The exact Destination will be released on the friday during registration).

The Big Climb will supply you with a dedicated score card and you will have 12 hours to see how many routes off the scorecard you can tick. The easiest routes on each crag are around HS/VS. Although we have included some routes below this grade they are few and far between in some of the potential destination. The destination is being witheld until the last minute to allow for last minute weather considerations.

The Event is going to start on Friday 12th August at 7.30 pm at the Beacon Climbing Centre with event registration and some slideshows. We will then release the start location, for 7am to 9am start. The climbing will then stop for the evening with more entertainment before we have a more social climb at another destination the next day. The tickets cost £43.39, with £40 going to the charity.

So we have had the Beacon Climbing Centre get onboard with helping us do the ticketing for this event. So the eventbrite link is now dead, you can find the tickets at this new link meaning we can reduce the price to £40.

We have also sorted it so that if you don't want to go to the whole event we can sell tickets to the talks on friday night at the cost of £10. Although the event ticket at £40 include two tickets for the talks as well.
