This is worth a look, it's sort of old school and there are copious quantities of leather, metal clips and Ventile, and I also nearly forgot to mention the price. Are you firmly belayed? £800.00, in the sale at £560.00. Please try not to get trampled in the rush

I'm digging my Karrimor Haston Vallot out of the shed. In genuine KS100e that's got to be worth a grand or two.

I used a Haston Alpiniste 60+15 on my first Chamonix trip in the 70's, the purple one with the centre zip and I have a 45+ 10 Alpiniste from the 90's in blue which is in perfect condition, and in my own personal opinion was the finest version of the model that they produced, and Made in Accrington, in fact, picked up from the factory in Accrington. I might be persuaded to part with this for the right money as it is just hanging in a cupboard along with a 35ltr MacPac sac which also gets no use these days due to age and illness
