Sewing Operator - Full time

The role

We are looking for an experienced industrial sewing machinist. The successful candidate must have good attention to detail and speed in order to meet customer demands. The ability to use material on flat bed machines and automatic machines is absolutely essential. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, very good timekeeping and attendance record.

Key Tasks

You will be required to sew high quality products and ensure your work is to the correct standard.
Be able to change machine jigs and adjust the stitch tension for numerous product specifications.
You will be responsible for realising your targets while ensuring quality at all times.
Confirm your machine is kept in a clean workable condition.
Work in a way conducive with a target driven manufacturing environment.
Maintain a critical view of your own work at all times.
Undertake other appropriate duties when required to do so.

Essential to your success in the role will be the ability to demonstrate

Experience of working as part of a busy team within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
This role requires a high degree of dexterity.
You must have experience with measuring aids such as tapes and rulers.
To work quickly, maintaining a high degree of accuracy at all times.
Aptitude to follow processes and procedures accurately.
The ability to prioritize and meet customer deadlines
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Self- motivated, initiative and high level of energy

Desirable

Knowledge of DMM’s products and services

HOURS

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
