Conditions on Cuillin ridge this weekend

Considering a solo attempt to traverse the main Cuillin ridge this Sunday (as possibly the better of the weather days), but sitting in Edinburgh it's hard to tell what conditions on the ridge will be like. If there is much snow and any ice on the ridge then I probably wouldn't risk it. On the other hand if its dry(ish) rock then that is more palatable.

Would appreciate any comments from anyone with direct and recent info.

Thanks

His blog makes it sound like its still winter mind.

My son and I were on the ridge on Saturday. There is a lot of snow on the northern half of the ridge (possibly southern too but we didn't get there) and it will definitely have an impact on progress. We had to make an ab on simple ground just because of slushy snow lying on slabs (brrrr, scary). On the other hand, it looks bloody marvellous and would be no reason not to go. Just moderate your ambitions and take an axe (crampons too if early starts or cold spell).

Thanks very much to you both for info.
