I was climbing at Froggatt a few years and there was a race going on, maybe a half-marathon, where the competitors had to complete a set number of climbs along the way, but I can't seem to find any details of it online.

Anyone know if this event still runs, or what it's called?

Nottingham Uni used to do the Grimstone Challenge. Start at Swanage plantation and race to the Robin Hood pub at Birchens Edge. Climb 10 routes - 3 on Stanage and one on each of Burbage N and S, Froggatt, Curbed, Gardoms, Birchens and one more I can't remember right now.

As deacondeacon said its the nine edges challenge, organised and in aid of edale mountain rescue. Starts at dovestones and goes for 22miles along the nine crags. You can run or walk it and climb on each crag if you want.

It's a good day out.

It's very popular too so you need to apply for a place as soon as the tickets are released.
