Christ, that was 2 and a half hours of my life I'm not getting back. I was willing him to die in the end so I could go to bed. Anyone enjoy it?

What were you expecting? Car chases, kung fu & explosions?

But there are loads of them in his paintings. Or am I getting him mixed up with Constable?

I didn't love it, but I did like it. Thought an especially fine effort was made in re-creating his paintings cinematically.

The best bit was when he died in bed... By that stage, it was getting to be a question of him or me.

A bit of back-scuttling with the maid against a bookcase would have been nice.

Me too. To be fair, I started watching it at half nine after debating whether to go to bed or watch a film, so I was struggling to stay awake.

Love Turner's work and the director Mike Leigh usually delivers but I thought it was crap too.
