***CANCELLED***

Veteran mountaineers from the Stonehaven Mountaineering Club, Roger Owen and Alistair Beeley, relate their recent adventures in the Northern Caucasus of Russia, including an ascent of Mount Elbrus (5642m), the highest mountain in Europe. The unspoilt beauty of the high valleys and the nature of the local Balkaryan people unfold through their story, along with the eccentricities of their Russian and Ukrainian guides, as they trek through this region which borders Georgia.
