UKC/UKH Winter Conditions Report for Skye 28th December 2015
Skye seemed to do well compared to most places this christmas but more scenic than classic climbing. Rapid fluctuation in temps continue to tease. Most annoyingly there's little change in temperature from sea-level to summit. Beads, Murdo & David climbed the lower pitches of The Deadline yesterday and found ice but sitting on the rock, not frozen on.
Some snow patches are gradually building up by surviving the thaws but nothing to make descents of An Dorus or Great Stone Shoot serious yet.
Keep watching those forecasts closely & jump to it when it's there. Please let me know what you find if you do manage to get out.
