We’ve been living and travelling for climbing in our Ford Transit High Top Long Wheel Base 54 plate (2004) for the past year, and sadly the time has nearly come for us to return to normality and sell our van.
It’s mechanically excellent and will re-sit MOT test at the start of December so will have a full year from then. Low millage for the age: 87,000 miles.
She’s a 2.4L diesel, sits beautifully on the highway but also has the power to get up those steep tracks to the primo lookout sleeping parks.
Unofficially converted (i.e. still registered as a commercial van) with full sized double bed with REAL mattress, solid bench with two burner stove and grill (great for pizza making), plenty of storage and partly insulated….it’s simple but spacious!
ALL furnishings included as well as everything else you need hit the road tomorrow…
- GPS with all European maps
- 240V inverter for charging electronics
- Cassette to ipod converter (all the mod cons!)
- Leisure battery and jumper leads
- Spanish and English gas bottles for the stove with regulators for Spain, England and France. The 12kg Spanish bottle is still full.

It is also fitted with slam shut security locks, so the doors lock on closing, and locks can’t be picked.
