1;31 I just saw on facebook, sounds like most were slower than usual due to the heat.

Well done, what time?

I've only done it a few times, last time I was a bit slower, I think both were in the 1:45-1;47 range, but the last time I finished 8th or 9th. I hit the road in 11th or 12th and got a load of people in the road and the field. It's a brilliant race.

Seen them coming into the park and they seemed slower than usual ,which I put down to the heat.

Mikkelson -Barron (4th or 5th I think) looked to be out on his feet.

Don't know what happened to Andrew Barrington.had him down as a dark horse.

Great day for it.i met Kathy Connochie (pardon my spelling).she was the ladies winner in 1955!.she started the race also.

I take my hat of to all who competed.not only an arduous ascent ,but the descent on the red steps is horrible.
Well Done All.

I was about 2:05 which I was really happy with having felt crappy all week. Lost about 10 places on the road due to rubber legs. Strong suspicion that I hadn't fully recovered from the Skyline.

Yeah the first year I did it I almost fell when I hit the road, real hip sways.

Sub 2 should be on then, its one of those classic times to get, that and the sub 4 at Jura, I think the sub 2 at the Ben is a tad easier though.

She was great.

I was at the other side of the park at the start.

Was it her who appeared to be standing on top of a step ladder?

Nice lady.

In reply to andymac:

That was her. I thought initially that she was some local worthy but apparently she holds the record for one of the of the previous courses.

Also seen Alan Smith at the finish

I reckon he'll still be competing when he's 80.

He's a bit of a beast by all accounts.
In reply to luckyjim:

Great achievement. Kenny Stuart's record has stood for over 30 years.
Threlkeld's own.
