Here at Boulders we are looking to recruit enthusiastic people to join our team! We are seeking dynamic individuals who will be responsible for inspiring and motivating customers between the ages of 6 – 14. Instructors will need to be flexible and available to work weekends, afternoons and evenings during the week, with the majority of hours being on the weekends.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic about climbing, have a desire to work with a diverse group of people and have some personal climbing experience. Working at Boulders is an incredibly rewarding experience but requires intense periods of hard work and dedication.

We are looking to recruit both part time instructors and freelance instructors. All candidates will be expected to maintain high professional standards, engage with customers of all ages, and ensure that the centre is clean and presentable at all times.

The ideal candidates will:
• Be enthusiastic about introducing climbing to others
• Experience inspiring children aged 6 – 14
• Have relevant personal climbing experience
• Be able to use own initiative
• Have a strong commitment to health and safety
• Have effective communication skills
• Have the ability to work as part of a team
• Be proactive when faced with problems and in engaging customers.

Freelance instructors will also be expected to lead and mentor junior, in house instructors and set a good example of professional conduct, as well as have the following attributes.
• Their Single Pitch Award (SPA) as a minimum
• An in-date first aid qualification
• Relevant industry experience within the last 12 months.
• Experience with NICAS is desirable but not essential.
