I watch Countryfile nearly every week and respect its content. In past years I have marvelled at the Competition entry and wished I had seen/recorded similar images. However I was really disappointed in this years selection - not on the basis they were weak pictures - but because many of them didn't seem to fit the brief of 'Colours in the Countryside'. There were strong images but only a few seemed to have embraced the theme.
Does anyone else share this view?
In reply to keith-ratcliffe: I think it's just a bit of a lame brief... Every one of those photos has colour that you can find in the countryside, just nothing out of the ordinary.
Ps. The squirrel isn't stuffed, he's just very cool!
