Job Vacancy at The Lakeland Climbing Centre for Climbing Wall Assistant.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic climber to join our team at our Centre in Kendal. This part time post, although this may extend into full time for the right candidate. You must be willing to commit to regular weekend work.

The role is for a Climbing Wall Assistant with particular focus on our CrazyClimb facility. An ability to work independently within our team framework is essential as is the requirement to be able to pursue marketing, promotion and further development of Kendal CrazyClimb. You will also be required to work on the front desk checking in customers, assisting in the Creamery café and Kendal Wall shop.

There will be opportunities to assist the instructing team supervising our junior climbing clubs on Saturdays, and midweek After School Clubs (4pm to 6pm midweek), and to actively be involved with our in house route setting team. Ideally the candidate would have an interest in working towards their CWA or SPA and funding is available to facilitate this, but we stress that this is not an instructing only role.

Full in-house training will be given as will the opportunities to complete NGB awards and CPD. Work at the Centre is fun, flexible and varied!
