“You know when you meet someone, and they immediately have a presence about them? That’s the sort of person we’re looking for.”

We are recruiting for a Centre Manager for our flagship site, High Sports Crawley, where we’ll be celebrating our 10th year in operation this November.

This isn’t your average 9-5 desk job, you’ll be encouraged to use your initiative, be creative and constantly improve the performance of your site. You will need to motivate your instructing and supervising team and set exceptionally high standards of customer service. With the support of in-house technical team members you will hold overall responsibility for the financial performance, quality of climbing activities, staff development and health and safety at you site.

For over 20 years High Sports have been delivering industry leading climbing experiences: we believe Everyone Can Climb, which is why we currently operate more than 20 climbing centres across the UK. We aim to deliver outstanding value and exceptional quality to our customers at every step of their journey into the climbing world. Each of our locations has a strong sense of community, which you will need to become a key member of in order to succeed.

There are pages of tasks and responsibilities that could be listed for this role but there’ll be plenty of time to cover that later - above all we are looking for a strong personality with a desire to succeed. Our most successful staff members have a real determination to excel and are passionate about introducing new people to climbing.

Ideally you’ll have experience with content based marketing and social media as well as proven customer service experience and the ability to express yourself with confidence to a staff team, management and clients. This is a role with the need to hit financial performance goals so having a ‘sales’ mindset is a must, but your background may not necessarily reflect that.

If you think you’re right for this role, apply. We believe in finding the best person for a given role and then working with them to further develop their skills and expand their experience – you don’t have to be a climber…yet.

To apply email your CV and a covering letter telling us why you'll be great in the role to Ben.Ingle@High-Sports.co.uk by 26/6/15.
