Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere.

The question in the article seems to be "Is it fake or real?"

Looks very realistic to me. Our furry friend is certainly going for the white knuckle/paw experience on this one.

Who needs to outrun an avalanche when you can traverse one!

I reckon its real. it looks as nippy as my border terrier pup. He does the wall of death round our living room defying gravity.

that's pretty amazing.

Although did it appear to anyone else like the hare ran INTO the avalanche when it was actually on safe(r) ground?

Bloody adrenaline junkies :-p

Yes, although I assumed it was reacting to having a snowboarder coming towards it. A completely natural reaction!

What a hare-brained thing for that animal to do. It must've been pretty hare-y running across that snow. Ho hum - hare today, gone tomorrow.

Thanks for s-hare-ing.

Don't know whether this one's real or not but I've seen a hare doing this with my own eyes - it's definitely possible. We were out ski touring in less than good stability when my mate remote-triggered a slab above him. While we were watching him traverse out of the way, a hare which had presumably been having a wee nap curled up under the snow, popped up and ran uphill, leaping from one snow block to the next. It made it out no problem but I doubt it has a good impression of ski tourers now.
