The newly surfaced path on Whinstone Lee Tor, 3 kbThe popular Whinstone Lee Tor path in the Peak District has been extensively re-surfaced; but some walkers and runners lament the change, branding the result an eyesore.

Completely agree that it is rubbish to look at and rubbish to run on.
It has been quite sloppy in places when wet over the winter as well.
It has definitely spoilt a great spot.
I've no idea about the decisions / cost involved, but if something needed doing the slabs that run from dovestone tor to back tor are much better.

This path has been "upgraded" to make it easy for the land owner's employees to drive quad bikes around, so they can burn the heather.
