On Saturday I completed this ultra running challenge. It stretched me to my limit as you are only allowed 12 hours and it took Joss Naylor (UK's best know fell runner) 11 hours 40 minutes. With great support and fair weather I got around in 10 hours 48 minutes, only one minute slower than the fastest ever time on this route I found out afterwards.

Joss Naylor, MBE is an English fell runner, and a sheep farmer, living in the English Lake District. As his achievements increased he became better known as the King of the Fells or simply the Iron Man.

Joss’s challenge involves climbing 30 tops, crossing some 48 miles of mountain terrain and ascending nearly 17000 feet. The route starts in Pooley Bridge, Ullswater and finishes at Greendale Bridge, Wasdale.

I am raising money for Community Action Nepal.http://www.canepal.org.uk/ to raise essential funds for the people of Nepal who have recently suffered from the earthquakes.
If you can donate it would be really great.

All the money CAN receive will be used to directly help the Nepalese communities. (Admin and office costs are met by other funds)

Also - anyone who donates more than £10 gets a chance of winning an OMM kamleika jacket (really good mountain kit)

Great hardcore effort Tom!
Your profile says you are 44 but you must be at least 50!
How does JN compare with BGR?
