I think we can close the book on winter now (after the last heavy dump on snow at the end of April / start of May). What I've noticed this year is a sparsity of coverage of climbing related deaths. I know there was some but was there a lot less than recent previous years when the issue seemed rarely out of the papers? Were they below what stats would have predicted?
