Simond probably have something lightweight, for about half the price of those suggestions above.

Norrona do something special at twice the price https://www.norrona.com/en-GB/Products/3321-14/2325/falketind-flex1-pants-m...

In all my years of gear hunting, these are the best combination of fit, feature and function in a pair of trousers.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of the Mammut Base Jump, little things like belt loops kept breaking (one day one of use) Had a pair replaced - same happened so re-sowed it myself.

Best pants I've had since has been Montane Terra pants, light weight, yet tough. Will be getting a second pair when these finally perish (three years still going strong)
Granted they're not the most wind-proof in the world

If you can get to E6 in beige imagine how far you'd go with orange or yellow.

Nice one! Those me comici's are looking favourite for my price range and features..

At just ten pounds more expensive the ME ibex are a bit thicker but have very good venting options and are easier to get on/off over big boots due to the ankle zips if that's a consideration. I've certainly been happy with them for summer scrambling/alpine.

Well, maybe not Simond. But the Quechua 900 and 900 Warm are worth taking a look at.

Not in beige, though...

Take a look at the marmot limantour- I've been using a pair for over a year and i can't fault them for 3 season use. Lightweight, reinforced in knees and erse, super stretchy, and they also seem to be on sale in a few places. Might also be available in beige!!
In reply to Paul Crusher R:

Ha, i was just about to post up these for opinions... http://www.trekkinn.com/outdoor-mountain/marmot-limantour-pants-long-desert...

squint and theyll pass as beige

I've had the ibex and now have rab's torque trousers. The ibex were very good and lasted me a good few years, however, weren't quite stretchy enough. The torque are extremely stretched and don't restrict movement at all when climbing.

Second this. I picked up a pair of the 900 last year for ~20quid. Love them. Almost as much as my ME Javelins.

Re:Keels Scuffers- lightweight? Really?!
In reply to Paul Crusher R:

I'm selling a pair of Rab Sawtooth Pants in medium beluga. VGC. £50 posted.
In reply to captain paranoia:

Looks like Decathlon have been doing a bit of vertical market re-arrangement, and the Forclaz 900 are now called the Forclaz 500... Certainly, the F500 Warm review is one I wrote for the 900 Warm...

Aha: here's last year's F500, now discounted:

http://www.quechua.co.uk/forclaz-500-trousers-id_24656

And this year's F500 (last year's F900):

This year's F900 (last year's Bionnassay 900).

I do wish they'd stop dicking about with names... (now where's that email asking for feedback...)

If only they didn't have such a ridiculous two tone colour scheme.

The black ones ain't too bad but I know what you mean!
In reply to RyanOsborne:

Yeah: go for the ME Comici in single colour 'citronelle'. Comici? I think they meant 'Clown'...
In reply to NottsRich:

Just spotted that Simond do indeed have something; the £35 'Rock pant'. Definitely not beige, though...

I am afraid that you have to climb at least E5 to wear them.
In reply to PPP:

I fear you are right. I could put my reviewer's hat on and claim I'm reviewing them...
