Has anyone been out ski mountaineering recently? Weather permitting hoping to have a day out this coming Friday either Drumochter or Cairngorm.

Any info regarding conditions would be great, fingers crossed more snow will fall
leading up to the Easter weekend.

Drove through Drumochter today (Thursday) and it is skiable just with a walk in to the snow line of about a km. Then some heather bashing to the main snowfields. The tops may be a bit scoured.
I skied on the Laggan hills today, read about it here http://www.scottishhills.com/html/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopi... if you want.
The Feshie hills looked very white in the distance but it was impossible to judge depth from there.

Head west. There is much more snow. Anywhere west of Creag Meagaidh is really good right now.

Skied Ben alder today with good snow but long way in. Skiing in dromochter on Friday and Sunday and really good. Will all the fresh snow should be epic. Certainly looked good as we drove past.

Was excellent touring from Dromochter yesterday - Geal-charn and A'Mharconaich. But yes more snow on the West. Few pictures here:

Glad you had a good day and enjoyed your pics. I was out in the dromochter hills again today... Two days running now and may be back tomorrow if I have the brownie points? It's still hanging in there and epic weather. Slainte callum

Interesting. It was really good a few weeks ago. http://ibsc.org.uk/blog/80-ben-alder-20th-to-22nd-march-2015

Sadly I didn't have enough brownie points to stay longer!

My friend was out over Braeriach the last couple of days, walking not skiing. Some photos showing conditions, particularly on the Moine Mhor, for anyone interested.
