Thinking about heading to North Wales tomorrow to do some scrambling. Can anyone suggest any good begginers scrambles ?

Cheers

Ddaer Ddu on Moel Siabod. Plenty of scrambly fun and easily escapable. Rest of the round very pleasant too, up through the quarries and back around the woods at Capel.

The obvious one is the North Ridge of Tryfan. Tends to be very busy but still a worthwhile outing and ideal for a beginner as it's a wide ridge meaning a lot of the difficulties are avoidable if that's what you want. Alternatively there's the Little and North Gullies route on the East Face of Tryfan.

Forecast is a bit damp and breezy tomorrow:
- "Walking difficult on higher areas and severe wind chill",
- "feeling like -13C with the wind chill"
and there's still some snow / ice on some of the higher areas.

You might want to leave beginner scrambling until the weather's more pleasant.
