I assume this would be decent enough to abseil with, and rig anchors, but I can't find out whether its static or can climb with it too? Anybody have one and can post what they use it for?

Really ? This is in the description on the page you linked to:

This rope is for static use on steep terrain or exposed sections to reassure nervous walkers.

Please note: This rope is unsuitable for MLT courses, use on glaciers, climbing or descending.

Urgh! Thanks! The description boxes and reviews etc don't load on my phone. Java problem or something.

So that rope, in effect has such a narrow range of use, that it's nearly pointless?

Not to say, you would climb it or descend with it, if an Apocalypse hit.

In reply to zimpara:

It a confidence rope hence its name, it might* be OK for abseil, but I wouldn't climb with it as a fall would hurt, lots...........

*if you would although the manufacturer says its not suitable is up to you

In reply to Dark-Cloud:

So a fall whilst using it as a confidence line would hurt too no doubt

Its static, if you want a climbing rope buy a climbing rope, simple as that really.

You can get a dynamic rope for a very similar price, which will be much more useful for you as a climber. Never, ever skimp on gear, especially rope. Your life is, quite literally, in its hands.

I agree.
Its just so colourful!

How about the Rap-cord or line or what ever the ever it was.

New version can even work as emergency "lead" rope (as a twin).

Climbing gear literally has hands??

This rope has no hands, but about a hundred feet.
In reply to Gone:

So we can say that 'your life is literally held in the sole of it's feet!'

Would it not be instep or arch?
 MischaHY 25 Mar 2015
In reply to DubyaJamesDubya:

Indeed. Tiny, microscopic little hands all holding each other to make the rope stronger. Didn't thee listen in science class?
In reply to MischaHY:

It all makes sense now
