I've found Backcountry UK in Ilkley to be very good.

A 2nd vote for Backcountry - they did skis and boots for us this year and the fit has been a revelation compared to rental kit

BAC in Elland?

They do other stuff as well but skiing is their main thing.

+1. Best 4 hours I ever spent.

4 HOURS to fit ski boots, jeez, I would have lost the will to live, do you have webbed feet or 16 toes or something ?
 andy 21 Feb 2015
In reply to Dark-Cloud: Nope. Went along not knowing what I wanted, tried on maybe half a dozen outers, then custom footbeds, then a bit of extra padding adding here and there. I've never had a pair of boots I could wear without having to undo them at lunch - I can happily wear these all day and for an hour or two in the pub afterwards.

Backcountry recommend you allow 3-4 hours, so I assume it's not just me.

snow and rock leeds, and ellis brigham castleford can get you backcountry boots but ring in advance to make sure they have some in stock to try out.

Another recommendation for Basecamp. Nothing too much trouble. It really is worthwhile taking your time over the fitting

I was the same, 3 hrs and lots of fettling at Back Country to get a pair of ski touring boots just right. I now have the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Used them loads.

In reply to blurty:

Yep, me too. I have a pair of very comfy boots now. I'd rather spend 3 hours getting the fitting done right than weeks and weeks of sore feet out on the hils
