There is a fantastic array of speakers for the relaunch of Llanberis Mountain Film Festival (LLAMFF) drawing in some huge names from the climbing, mountaineering and adventure world. Individual speakers, including legendary high altitude first ascensionist, and taxman, Mick Fowler talking about his latest Himalayan exploits. There is the eternally enthusiastic Tim Emmett who will be regaling all with his Rock, Air and Water antics and Piolet d'Or nominee Olly Sanders, telling tales of many years of remote, exploratory climbing and kayaking in hidden fjords of Greenland.

LLAMFF is also showcasing two "audience with” evenings; the first on Saturday is our ‘Inspirational Women’ night which will be hosted by one of the two record breaking Welsh women on the panel; Atlantic and Indian ocean rower, Elin Haf Davies. She will be speaking with leading British female climber, and local Llanberis resident, Emma Twyford who has flashed both E7 and F8a, headpointed E9 and redpointed F8b+/c. Tori James, the first Welsh lady to climb Everest and recently taken part in Beeline Britain expedition will also be there. They are complemented by Lowe Alpine sponsored expedition mountaineer Rebecca Coles and Sherpa athlete Heather Geluk as well as international mountain running athlete Sarah Ridgeway.

Sunday has an utterly unique event, something that is nearly as rare as ascents of the route itself, its ‘An Evening on The Indian Face’. This ground-breaking route, first E9 in the UK, is visible from Llanberis high street and has seen only a handful of successful ascents. We have gathered together 5 of the 7 successful suitors; Johnny Dawes, Nick Dixon, Neil Gresham, James McCaffie and Calum Muskett . This will be hosted by the enigmatic Ian Parnell and you will hear about how each of them came to exchange rubber, chalk and with this Welsh classic.
