I'm heading to Snowdonia at the weekend with some friends and some of them need to rent Crampons and axes and possibly some boots too. I've spoken to Plas-y-Brenin and they said they're busy this weekend so they (understandably) give priority to their course clients and won't know if they have enough kit left to rent out until about 10.30. We'd like to be out a bit earlier than that so does anyone have any suggestions of where else we can rent kit from?

We are heading up from the midlands so we could rent somewhere en route if there are any options.
