Getting to the far north-west of Scotland on public transport

Does anyone know if it is still possible to get to the far north-west of Scotland (e.g. Kinlochbervie nr Cape Wrath) on public transport? I did this a few years back, but it seems like the postbus service is a lot more limited these days. Age of austerity I guess!

Yes you can, easiest way is catching the train from inverness to lairgs and then catching the durness bus. Or there is a bus that runs via ullapool in the summer season. It is also reasonably easy to hitch hike
