Hi sorry to hijack this chat but they won't let me use the sale/wanted forum I'm after a good winter mountain tent. I have £250 to spend any offers. Cheer Sam

What weight? Quasar usually fits the bill for mosts needs I'd guess. Not the best for cooking in the porch in etc. Hilleberg and the price goes up. Good Quasars in various guises usually on EBay go for around £200. Else £5-600 new
Alpkit have their "version" (kangri?) which should be awesome if it's as good as the zhota.

I'm sure if you indicate how you plan on using it and what your specific needs are then folks can share advice more appropriately.

I used a terra nova ultra quasar for Aconcagua last year, lighter than the normal quasar and more expensive but not quite as strong (still survived Aconcagua though!)
I would recommend these tents.
Where are you planning to use it?

I have a quasar and have also used the mountain hard wear trango which are very good.

Where are you going and why. Mac pack make great 4 season tunnel tents too

I have a Terra Nova Voyager for sale. Great condition; comes with the footprint and some extra pegs!
