NEWS: Affric Group in 'Build the Bothy' Appeal

Athnamulloch bothy in former days, 3 kbTrees for Life, the conservation charity behind a major native forest regeneration project in Glen Affric, are fundraising to restore a derelict bothy in the glen. They need another £30K.

I'm not clear whether they intend to open this as a bothy available for all, or just to use it as a base for themselves. The publicity all implies the former, but their website suggests the latter.

Simon, this is what they've told me this morning:

'We will be making the bothy available on a booking basis for hill-walking and other outdoor groups as widely as possible, outwith the times when it will be used by Trees for Life, the educational charity Wild things! and the Forestry Commission'
