Hi
Has anyone travelled from UK to Cogne in Itally?
It looks like Turin is the closest Airport, but would probably have to pay arm and leg for taxi to get to Cogne.

Any suggestion would be more than welcome.

It can be done by public transport but not in one day, and when you get there in reality you need a car to get between the venues.

In reply to marius: Hi ive done it once ,landed at turin caselle airport then bus from airport to porta nuova train sta,that takes about 45 mins.aathen train to aosta 3hr roughly,then bus to cogne,long day but enjoyable,try to learn some italiano,it comes in handy.

I've been many times. Turin, Milan and Geneva all work. Train to Aosta from the last two then regular bus. Transfer to Chamonix then bus for Geneva. Quite possible in a day if you get an early flight in summer. Not sure about winter.

Have been loads of times and wouldn't consider not having one!

Flew to Geneva and then hired a car. Worked really well
