"It is not usually my thing to post on here and have a moan, BUT COME ON have a look at this photo. This was taken from the summit today, there are several bags of waste, batteries and a bloody air mattress!!!! Something really needs to be done about the state of the summit, there was simply just too much for me to carry off."

Share your pain. Sometimes I feel that the Ben in summer is something more akin to a country park that a mountain wilderness, and needs that level of management, ie wardens and statutory fines. Obviously this will never happen, so the best we as leaders can hope for is to educate our own groups and help out with efforts like the R3P Clean-up.

In reply to connor: Tell me about it! filled a rubbish bag myself on the way down the other week, and that barely scratched the surface! that included picking up a couple of half drank beer cans from next to one of the summit monuments! ffs if you can carry up a full can you can carry down an empty one!
