Lowe Alpine Backpack Designer
Lowe Alpine has been at the forefront of backpack design since 1967. We continue to develop innovative and exciting product that bring real benefits to our enthusiasts. We are searching for a Designer to join a passionate, energetic team that strive to produce the best backpacks in the world.
For this position you must be able to demonstrate two key attributes:-
• The talent, skill and desire to design great product.
• A passion for outdoor activities - climbing, hiking, trekking, mountaineering, skiing, one or all we don’t mind, and we don’t mind what standard you are at, it is the passion we seek.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t designed packs before – we’ll train you to do that. The focus of this role will be the visual enhancement of technically excellent product. You need to be confident working with colour, texture, fabrics, trims and graphics. As a brand we strive to lead the industry, not follow it, and hence you must be forward looking and be able to predict what our customers want before they do!
This is a demanding role but you will part of an experienced, supportive and successful team. You should be a design professional at the start of your career but with proven experience of creating visually exciting and commercially successful products.
Lowe Alpine is part of the Equip Outdoor Technologies group and this position is based at our Kendal office in the Lake District.
