I'm hoping someone can help me cos the wider searching internet cannot so far!

I was in Switzerland last week (lucky me) and saw an awesome photography book in a bookshop in Sion, Valais called (I forgot the exact title) something like 'Alpine 4000s' or 'Alps 4000ers'.

It was a landscape sized classic sort of coffee table job with 2/3 pages dedicated to each of the 4000m peaks in the Alps in both French and English. I should have bought it I know but I thought I'd be able to find it on the internet dead easy and get it for a better deal. It seems not.

Does anyone know which book I'm talking about? Does anyone know where I could get it from (short of going back to Sion)? I don't remember which shop so I suppose in the worst case, if I was super desperate, I'd ring al the shops until I found it and hoped they understood my pidgin French.

In reply to Co1in H: thanks very much for your help but unfortunately it's none of them, although the book 'The High Mountains of the Alps' is very similar. The book I'm after had that sort of format but with an inlaid graphic of the mountains' profile under the writing. All very posh and stylish!

In reply to Co1in H: hold the phone!! I've actually just found it.......'Altitude 4000' in French/English.....a beautiful book if anyone is inspired to get it. Thanks again to everyone.
