Hi All,

I'm looking for a group venue for a day (or a couple of close together venues) for a small group of climbers.

Ideally low grades as they are novice climbers and good access to the top of the routes.

We will be based near Lancaster so would like some nearish crags to make the most of the day.

Any reccomendations?
In reply to Northern Climber: Hutton Roof might fit the bill. The routes are short but there are lots to go at and it never gets over busy so there is usually space for groups.

This might be of use:
There are four routes on Easy Slabs at Whitestone, near Newby Bridge.
See http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=1279
They are to be found in the recently published F&R guide Eden Valley & S. Lakes. Let me know if you want details and I can email you the descriptions.
There are of course more demanding routes on the main crag.
In reply to Northern Climber:

Cheers Guys, ended up heading over to North Yorkshire and had a good day out between showers.
