For a salary of only 20k you should expect the employer (Rockcity) to provide the training for you.

Hi Andrew

When we are looking for a trainee instructor with a chip on his shoulder we will bear you in mind. If you read the advert properly it states a minimum of £20K. The minimum qualifications are very basic too and the general idea was that those with the right skill set would command a higher salary.

Only once 'in post' do we spend money on improving the skills of our employees.

This is an absolutely excellent climbing centre, just a shame about the owner. I wonder why there's been so many staff over the years....

Ummm...thanks. Was just making sure that qualified people didn't sell themselves short; 20K would be a tough salary to survive on.

I'm sure all your applicants will have an agreed schedule of training based on time served agreed at the interview?
