Applying for job you wouldn't intend to take if offered

I have seen an advert for a job that is exactly the type of job and place I'd like to live in a few years but not now. I was wondering if there is any value in applying for and potentially going to an interview even though I would have no intention of accepting the job if I was offered it?

The benefits I can see are that I either don't get the job after interview and I can get feedback so that I know what experience etc I need to have for the future or I get offered the job and I can go forward confident in the fact that I already have what it takes for such a role.

Has anyone done anything similar or has an opinion on the value of such a venture?

In reply to JM:

Go for it! Although if it going to be for the same employer in the future you need to consider carefully your reasons for turning it down.
