The circular shots with the gopro are particularly impressive.

Great achievement but if you're 21 and have legally been an adult for 3 years, doesn't this "youngest ever" label seem a bit ridiculous?

Its a nice video and the lad did indeed seem to be climbing without using the fixed ropes. I wonder though if he clipped into them for the descent, which would be absolutely justifiable, wise and cautious, but would make "solo" a rather misleading description?

Also not sure if "youngest solo" is a category of achievement which it is wise to give overly much prominence to but agree that 21 isn't an age which has much relevance in this respect.

How did he take the panning shots looking back towards him?

Some kind of rotating boom attached to his helmet is the only way I could think to do it, but seems a lot of effort.

In reply to ablackett:Think your right,if you look carefully last few seconds when hes on summit, for second you see the shadow of the telescopic boom.Great effort.
