Hello,

I'm doing the Saunders Lakeland MM next month and i was wondering if anyone could recommend some dehydrated food to take along?

It will be my first event, and i enjoy eating a good meal, especially after a long day on the hill. I dont really anticipate a very good time really, i'll just be happy to finish.

Thanks

Simon

I've tried a few different packaged meals for events, etc. On last year's Saunders I used the Adventure Foods meals (green packaging). I found they hydrated well, tasted decent and weren't over salted (which is how I found the Mountain House meals).
On the previous year, we used super noodles in spicy tomato soup with some chorizo and a couple of pittas. Had loads of food due to repackaging prior to packing.
I have to say, the Adventure Foods one was very palatable, didn't require any washing of pan/mug and allowed for a smaller cooking system.

Expedition foods ... Something from their 800 cal range. Used them everywhere.
