What generation are they? The very first ones were made of single piece yellow roughout leather that I used to use normal nikwax wax on. Then they went to multiple panels of fabric/leather that look much like the current trango extremes. Those you might have to use some sort of spray on with, then they added goretex to the boots, and you shouldn't have to waterproof those.
