Hi,

Can anybody recommend me a lightweight, reasonably priced, 2-person tent to take to Yosemite in September. Will see lots of action in this country too but want to use as little of my baggage allowance as possible.

Does anybody know how much that would cost? Just worried in case postage costs as much as the tent!

Buy a cheap one when over there (somewhere like REI) and bin it afterwards or sell it for a beer or two.

I've spent 6 weeks in yosemite and barely used mine, order one for as little as possible get it delivered to the yosemite post office if you like it post it home.

Its far cheaper to buy a tent from wallmart and give it away in camp4 when you leave. While In yosemite we started out with 2 wallmart tents and gained another for free part way through. Don't get an REI tent it will be too expensive. The weather is very nice in summer so the cheapest tent will do. For the two days it rained our wallmart tents kept the water out. They were pretty trashed after 6 weeks though.
