Yes, linking the open access land into meaningful walks can often be a bit trickier than you'd like - and especially so when getting down off hills when I'm fairly sure that I've commited mild trespass from time to time.

I'm not sure if the final example here is the best though because the CRoW has helped an awful lot round there.

Looking at the map, you can get to the foot of Pistyll Blean y Cwm quite happily using just footpaths/a track on the access land. Or you can use the CRoW act to plough up and over Cyrniau Nod on the various grouse shooting tracks to stare at the huge cliffs of the Aran's.
(All of the valleys round there are very impressive and very quiet too.).

It has also of course helped hugely on the Aran's and other places. Maybe it isn't ideal but it was definitely a major benefit. I'd be a bit lost without it.
