Anyone out there currently using the 2Fs??

Managed to dig a couple of pairs out of the uni mountaineering club store and could do with a bit of advice - front bails missing/need replacing, and as the points on at least one of the pairs are good, was thinking of buying and replacing.

Has anyone recently replaced levers?? 2F specific bails seem to be hard to come by, so was wondering if the new Grivel standard bails fit?? Needlesports reckons they'll "probably fit most older models as well", but would love to hear if you have managed/tried this combination.
In reply to kyaizawa: I sold mine a couple of years ago.

I am pretty sure Needlesports is right, the new bails should fit fine, possibly with a little bit of brute force needed.

However, 2Fs are an utter pain to use without anti-balling plates so if these are missing you will definitely need to improvise some.

In reply to kyaizawa: toe bails will fit on, you may need pliers and strong hands or mole grips if you have them to wedge them on

as previous get anti balling plates or make them from old milk bottles or mtb innertube or something

nick name for these types of crampon was a "piecutter" !!
