NEWS: Shenavall Bothy Closed Early May

Shenavall and Beinn Dearg Mor, 4 kbA work party from the Mountain Bothies Association (MBA) is scheduled to hit Shenavall between 30 April and 6 May. During this time the bothy will be out of action for walkers and climbers.

1. For the safety of the bothiers
and
2. Remember what happened to Gleann-Dubh-Lighe last year, which will take many hours of volunteer time to rebuild.

All bothies require maintainance. The amount of work can quickly spiral out of control. Lack of maintainance means a lot more work to be done in the future.
Work has already been done at Shenavall - a new staircase, and cladding in the upstairs room as well as routine maintainance of the roof. More needs to be done or the bothy will go downhill.
